Job Overview

The Harris Tweed Authority (HTA) is a statutory public authority established by the passing of the 1993 Harris Tweed Act of Parliament. The HTA is charged with the duty of safeguarding the authenticity, standard and reputation of Harris Tweed.

The HTA wishes to recruit an experienced administrator for a period of approximately 10 months from Dec/Jan 2018. 

Applicants should have experience of working in a busy office or customer-facing environment. They should be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills.  Knowledge of the HARRIS TWEED Industry and gaidhlig would be an advantage. A driving licence and access to a car is essential. 

Based in Stornoway Town Hall, the post involves varied and responsible duties including promotional projects, project development and general office and administrative cover. Working hours are 9am – 5pm over Monday – Friday. Flexible working arrangements may be considered.
