The Harris Tweed® Journal

From the moor…

4th May

The peat banks, that at one time littered the moor as summer arrived, may not be as vibrant and vast as in previous years, but now and then you will see evidence of the tradition being kept alive.

The cutting of peat is a skill passed down through generations, and the comparisons with the intricate, handcrafted work that goes into Harris Tweed® fabric is there for all to see.

From the land comes the cloth.
