We had a very lovely and unexpected visit from photographer Colin Godfrey who called in to the HTA in search of some information about Harris Tweed® and where he could visit a weaver during his stay.
Colin mentioned that he last visited the Outer Hebrides in 1980s and on that particular trip, had the good fortune of visiting Marion Campbell BEM in Harris. He remembered her fondly
We are so pleased that Colin had his camera with him on that last visit and that he managed to capture these beautiful moments of Marion Campbell in her weaving shed. These photographs are real treasures for us to see and ones we’ll keep safe in our HTA Archive. Thank you, Colin, for stopping by and sharing these with us.
